I don't count it since it zeroes out with the good deal of protein I ingest. :drinker:

I could prove you wrong. But I won't.
  • I don't count it because I was doing that when I gained weight so I can't kid myself that's making me lose.

LMAO! I totally agree...if told the more we go at it...and the more I am on top...the more cals I burn and faster to reach my goal...how can anyone argue that! ;o) Just wear it and use the data to back it up ;)

1-2 times daily at an average of 125cals X 6 days a week (even God rested on Sunday) = 750-1500 extra cals burned a week
    that's 3,000-6,000 a month or 36,000-72,000 a year! :)

I swear this gets asked once a day. I forget what site I found my info from... but I log mine as horizontal belly dancing

I LOVED seeing you log that. Sadly It took me a minute to figure out.

If opportunity comes along, I will gladly research this!

I read a womans day article last week where it said the avg sized woman burns up tp 414 per hour. Dudes burn more of course. I am sure I burn 600-800 per session. It's great cardio if you do it right!:smokin:

I'm calling BS on this article. No Fn way this is possible unless you weighed about 500#, then you would not have the energy to last an hour long session. One interesting fact was #5 however that says you burn 100 calories giving oral sex. It failed to mention how much calories is consumed during the same time period...IJS.

That article says you burn more calories "making out" than having sex........

I guess it depends on how you do it. If it was great exercise, than why are so many street hookers chubby?

Haha GUYS in seriousness, just use an exertion test! On a scale of 1-10, rate how hard it is to do various activities, and then place bedroom activities where you feel it belongs! Chances are it's caloric burn will be in the same range as similar exertion exercises!

Of course, that means that it really depends how much you give er! ;)

I just count it as bonus calories. But I am curious!! My BF is so goal oriented that he probably wouldn't even notice if I was wearing a HRM
  • I think it should be listed as "Exercise between the sheets"
  • I'm sure it its done right..you can log some burnable calories. Not talking about the missionary position...I mean changing up everything!! LOL Plus its more fun that way! You on top, him on top, side ways, doggy, half on half off the bed, etc....

Last time I had a HRM on (action initiated during workout) one hour was 550 calories. So I'd estimate 5-10 calories a minute depending on if your still on the bench, pullup bar or squat rack, or not

I probably depends on the peoples weights and the range of motion needed. If a partners equipment makes the thrust a large, exagerrated motion, then it burns more calories. But if he's just banging away like a woodpecker on a tree, he's barely moving, so not that many calories I'm guessing.

If you're on top of what? The mattress? You burnin' calories tossing and turning? Sleep walking? LOL
If you want to be able count it, you need to get laid outside. Calisthenics.

Where the HRM the guy wont care even if you tell him the truth. Now if it were reverse the woman would be all pissy. It would be similar to trying to watch the football game at the same time. If he does care he has issues!
  • I could only WISH this was part of my daily activities!!!

Has anyone thought about calories burned in the sack? Esp when you're on top for a long time! There's nothing listed on MFP so I did some googling and the numbers are all over the place. I think my BF would be pretty p.o.'ed if I wore my HRM while we went at it!

Do it doggy style so he can't see the HRM other than the strap.

    plus, a convenient handle. . .

A soon as I bought my HRM, my hubby wanted me to test it out on him.
