I have issues from time-to-time with mine because of a back injury. All I know is to stretch your hamstrings as good as you can without arching your back. Is it painful or is your leg just twitching?0 -

I got sciatica after having my son. I was told by the hospital there there is nothing that can be done about it. Research has shown there can be things dun but that it can also make it worst....
I take a muscle relaxer and just call it a day.
Ibuprphen has been prescribed to me for it.
& yes lots of stretching.0 -
All I can say is I feel sorry for you! My wife has MS, and she gets sciatica sometimes and it is brutal. It seems like horrible pain.0

I have issues with it due to a bulging disc in my lower spine. I usually take Ibuprofen and ice my lower back.0

A friend of mine showed me a good stretch that helps me with mine. It's almost like just bending over to touch your toes, but bend one knee, popping the opposite hip out. If you do it right, it stretches all up into your glutes and sometimes I can feel it up to my lower back. But it's the only thing I have found that gets specifically where my sciatic pain is shooting from.0

I had it a long time ago and a chiropractor just put me in more pain. I talked to a personal trainer and he gave me a handful of stretches targeting the Piriformis muscle, and the problem was gone rather quickly.0

My prenatal yoga instructor recommended massaging the bottom of your heel to help alleviate sciatica. Also my husband gets sciatica when he doesn't get enough water so stay hydrated. But, as others have said, get checked out just in case.0

Look online for stretches for Piriformis syndrome ... I dealt with that for months last year (involves the same nerve) and these stretches really helped!0
