What would you put in a Spring Roll?
I'm making baked Spring Rolls tonight. I accidentally grabbed the pork italian sausage out of the freezer this morning to thaw. . .is that weird? Italian sausage in a spring roll? I don't think I even have on hand the ground pork that the recipe calls for.
The other items I plan on using: shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, green onions, sweet chili sauce.
Suggestions or tips, please!

i honestly don't think it would be bad. might give it a little bit of a different flavor, but it might taste good! you could always just leave the pork out and just have veggie spring rolls!0

I make raw spring rolls with carrots, cabbage, mung bean sprouts, alfalfa sprouts, mushrooms, peppers, onions, and cilantro. Then use sweet chilies sauce for dipping. *drool*
I have made baked ones with shredded chicken, but never anything like sausage. It would just depend on your taste buds whether it would work...0 -
