need help with my bike pls

i have been riding my bike about for a couple of months now but recently i feel its not the same, i noticed that the chain sits in 3rd when i put the gear up to 4,5 then 6th and its to easy to ride i want more resistance (if thats the right word!) The chain goes from 1-3 but no further then the gears go from 1-3 normally, and i hear it click in but from 4-6th the gear turns back to 3rd n then to 6th easily with nothing happening. Ive not had a bike with gears until now so im not sure how to solve this, i have spray oiled the chain etc but that didnt help. thanx. :bigsmile:

Sounds like your deraileur needs adjusting. Take it to a bike shop, they can let you know for sure.

wow i tried sorting it myself n it worked then i tried tightening my breaks coz they were loose n did that 2, im getn good at this biking thing now!!!!!!!!!! thanx again.x :0)
