Hello! Looking for friends who may have some of the same issues and who can provide healthy and supportive advice. I lost 175lbs once through the DASH diet (high fiber, lean protein), exercise, and drinking water.

Unfortunately, I had health issues that went undiagnosed for years (not for lack of TRYING to get help!) and I gained back most of what I've lost.

I have sleep apnea, probably fibromyalgia (sleep apnea symptoms overlap), asthma, a strange food allergy to barley (which is in a lot of stuff!) and asthma. It all means I gotta start out slow and build up my fitness. I'm patient about the weight loss, and I set mini-goals of 5lbs. I like to keep things low-key and try to be forgiving but persistent in my weight loss attempts.

My biggest problem: night-eating

Looking for folks who can relate and for mutual gentle encouragement and support.

I have one easy suggestion for you - LOG here. Log your food. Don't worry about what it is, just log it. You'll learn a ton about your eating habits and then you can begin to make changes - slowly, but surely. Log your exercise as well. Even if it's a few minutes. And log your thoughts and ideas here. All this is really to say, get in touch with you. Hold yourself accountable. You can do it!
