hair growth - has anyone else noticed this?

So I've recently awakened my metabolism - having spent years double dosing on hard core exercise and reduction of calories. I spent a long time with a slower metabolism and it's working at full speed right now because I'm eating more - yay
Since I've done this, I've noticed many changes in my body - in addition to finally losing weight again. My skin has gotten oily - in the beginning this was annoying but I've got it under control now and it's actually never looked better. My circulation has improved - I'm no longer cold all the time and I don't lose feeling in my fingers and toes. My resting body temperature has increased - used to be 96 degrees now it's 98.2(ish).
I've researched a lot of these things that seem to all have some sort of connection to the metabolism. Could be hormones, but doesn't an increased metabolism mean an increase in certain hormones - like testosterone, I think? (I don't know, I'm not an expert).
Anyway, I noticed today that my hair is growing much faster than it was before. I was never anorexic so my hair never got to the point where it was falling out, but it had reached a certain length and seemed like it would take me a year to grow just an inch. In the last 2 weeks I think it's grown that much - I mean it's kinda weird. Do you think there's a connection there? I'm trying to find stuff on line - and it seems that most of the stuff that I described earlier (cold, circulation problems, dry skin, etc) are all signs of hypothyroidism - which happens to be very rare. I got checked for that and didn't have it, but I do know that all these problems went away when I started speeding up my metabolism. Could this be yet another great benefit of a faster metabolism?
Just curious if anyone else who has recently started eating more has noticed changes like this.

Never looked into it. Maybe it is because your body is working properly now where it hasn't been able to do so in the past?0
