on this site it says i need 1200 calories to loose weight but just been to another site and it says should have 2300 that aint right surely

:noway: definately not, if you have 2300 calories you'll GAIN weight, the only time you could eat that many calories is if you were burning that many extra calories on top of day to day stuff.0

Hi there :flowerforyou: go to "TOOLS" and ( if you have input your details correctly) scroll down to BMR look to see if your Weight, Height, Age etc are correct and click on Continue it will tell you how many calories you need just to stay alive, even if you just lay in bed all day, these are the amount your body needs to exist.
The 1200 calories MFP has given you is to lose weight.
ie; mine is 1379 calories for my height age and current weight but MFP calculated 1200 for me to lose weight, if I go below that my body will go into starvation mode and not lose anything.
