I am new to this

My name is Tracy and for the past 12 years I have been so busy taking care of my son and my disabled mom I forgot how to take care of myself. I have lost some weight with daily walks at night but do to some bad habits it was not enough. I have a great personality but now I crave the body to match it. I want to lose weight so I can be there for my son when he gets older as I lost my mom this past Nov and she was only 54 years old. On 8-29-11 I decided that instead of sitting in my car while I was at work I would get out and walk which totals out to two hours a day. I also decided that my 2 2liters of pop habit a day was not a good thing if I wanted to lose more weight so on that date I also kicked the soda to the curb and now drink water and sometimes crystal light lemonaide. I have cut back my portion sizes and count my calories. My cousin showed me this site and I am loving it so far it makes things a lot easier to understand and to keep track. I am ready to start a new healthier life and look forward to dropping at least 30pds by this time next yr and if I drop more then I do.
