Woohoo!! I started it off right with a 5 mile run!! Felt super!
Happy New Year! What are your running goals this year??? So far mine are another half marathon in May and a sprint triathlon in June! :bigsmile:0 -
Did almost 6 and felt good about that. I have a bit of an upset stomach from eating pizza last night. Interestingly, it went away while I was running! My goal this year is to run a race higher than 10K. Happy running all.0

Great job! Good for you for planning a longer race. I love the half marathon distance, not nearly the training as a full and easier on your body!0 -

no, running for me today. we got our new bikes in yesterday, so will probably be going for a long bikeride this afternoon.
there are a couple triathlons that I want to do and a 1/2 marathon. my big goal is to run 500 miles this year!0 -
First run of the year was a leisurely 7 miles. My knee is still acting up, so I've been slowing my pace down a bit.
As far as my running goals this year - I have a 10-miler in May, I'd like to do another 1/2 marathon, then ultimately the Philly marathon in November.
HAPPY 2009 everyone!0 -
I ran 5 miles today-- but it wasn't a very good run! I was really cold and felt hungover from last night. Oh, well atleast I ran-- which can help remedy my problem.0

Ran 8 miles this morning, followed by an upper body work out, followed by a hot shower, followed by a nap!
Goals include my second 1/2 marathon of the season in mid-january, possibly followed by a challenge weekend (5 K, 15 K and 1/2 M race all on the same weekend) march 1st, then some 5 and 10K races later un the spring to work on speed.0 -

The one that I am doing is a 600 yd swim, 13.1 mile bike, and then a 5K. The sprints can vary in distance but pretty close to that. They are really fun!! good luck with your races!

I ran 3 miles on the treadmill. The treadmill police only allow you a 1/2 hour at a time. Tomorrow we start our outdoor training for the marathon. Temps this week have been negative 20, without the windshield factor. We try not to run outdoors when the actually temp is below zero. Sometimes they allow us to run around the dome corridor. It is warmer but HARD on the knees and ankles. Is it May yet???0
