So it seems IMPOSSIBLE to lose any more fat by just diet alone. No matter how I starve myself thin I stay at the same weight. So I thought, too few calories? Some suggested I up my calories. So I did. I was set to lose .5 lb/wk. I did that for a week or so then back to the 1 lb/wk. Nothing. NOTHING. Why is it so hard to get lean? I'm doing Ripped in 30 hoping that will show some results, but why does my body fight to stay at the same weight?

cut your carbs, increase your protein to about 30% of calories0

Maybe you need to get your thyroid levels checked. Just a thought.0

You need to change up the workout as well sometimes, because if you move always the same muscle group your body gets used to it and you won't see any result. check out these sites there are many free workout video: www.bodyrock.tv / www.myomytv.com / www.diet.com
Good luck!0 -
glancing over your food diary i'd be inclined to say you are not getting enough water if in fact you are not drinking more of it than you are entering?
If i have below 12 glasses of water a day my weight loss stops.0 -
Well, if you're truly starving yourself that's probably why...Your body isn't getting enough feul to make your metabolism work properly. Increasing your calories will help but you have to really eat them (although, I don't know if you do or not, I'm just stating this becuase a lot of people up their cal intake but don't actually eat them). Also watch you sodium intake. That's is what can help make you bloated and it may really be water weight instead of fat that you see...
Good luck to you and I hope this helped!0 -
As far as the exercise routine... I haven't been exercising, until now. So I know that's not the issue. LOVE Zuzana by the way, if I could only do her workouts... one day...
And I am really bad about drinking water. Unless I have a bottle in my hand constantly, I do not take trips to the tap for a glass of water. I am going to start lugging around my 1/2 gallon jug again, lol! If I have it, I make sure I drink it ALL before I get home. I hate water. I drink mostly coffee...0 -
This might help in setting your deficit, by the way, you would have needed longer at .5 pound/week to see a change especially if your weight loss has stall, and likely if you are close to your goal that is as much as your body will tolerate. A larger deficit will not necessarily result in fast weight loss unless you go for a huge deficit in which case most of what you lose will be muscle. Another option is eat the maintenance level of calories, but don't eat your exercise calories back. Doing this means your calorie deficit is made up of what you have worked off. For some people this will work better than a calorie deficit produced by eating less.0

I see, well you will get there I am pretty sure. I don't follow her daily neither :P I just do the workouts that I like and find easier. By the way I hate water too. What I do is I put in a cold water in 33.8fl oz (1l) 2 green tea bag and let it sit for an hour after it taste better already. If I don't feel like to drink it with no sugar or any other taste I sometimes mix it with one lemon's juice. You can also do that with grapefruit, just avoid sugar it taste good!As far as the exercise routine... I haven't been exercising, until now. So I know that's not the issue.
