Counting work as exercise...

I sometimes work for an audio visual company helping them load in/out and setting up/packing down their equipment. This involves a lot of walking around, arm movements (laying out cables etc) and occasional heavy lifting.

On these days I am predictably hungry after work and prone to feeling like I have earnt some kind of tasty food, I also am too tired to get any exercise after (although if organised, can exercise before).

I'd really like to count my work as a work out but don't know what to put it in as. One day soon, I'll wear a heart rate monitor and see what it says but in the mean time, do you think 3 hours of work could constitute 3 hours of walking and saaay, 5 minutes of strength training?

It could count for either walking, cleaning or weight lifting, maybe. Make sure that you didn't account for it in your lifestyle settings for your profile. I am on my feet working all of the time so I wouldn't be able to use this for exercise because it is already accounted for.

Nah it's not in the settings, when I'm not working, I'm usually found glued to the computer screen on the mfp forum :-P so sedentary for me.

Guess I'll count it for now and if I notice weight gain I'll have to rethink. Shall let you know what the HRM says when i work next.
