Fasting ?

Hello all.

I would like to hear what people in general on here think about fasting ?

I have studied yoga for 4 years and fasting plays a part in my practice. I fast from all grains twice a month. On the odd occasion I plan an all day fast and only consume water. I have only done this to detox in the past and never for weight loss. I am new to this site and just completed my first week.

My question is would anyone recommend fasting as part of a diet plan ? Maybe one day a week only drinking juice or water ?

It would be interesting to know your thoughts on this .

    No. defiantly not! Fasting of any kind is not good for you. Your body is a machine which removes toxins from your body, by not eating or fasting you prevent the body from working properly. Its like filling your car with just water. It wont work.
