What do you think of tattoos on the inside of a person's bottom lip?

I have yet to see one that looked good, so I am not a fan. Since it's such a hard spot to tattoo, they always look funny. To me they look like the kind of tattoo you could get in somebody's kitchen. :laugh:

...but if they are temporary, as in a few weeks (?) ....still yuck, but it won't last forever, try it!

How are they temporary?
They tattoo racehorses under the top lip and they stay there for life.

I have a friend with one that looks very professionally done...unfortunately it's her ex-husband's name so she's not showing it off anymore I just don't like A. the idea of a needle in that tender area (and yes, I have tattoos) or B. having to pull my lip down to show someone my new tat

exactly. i wouldn't get one for he simple fact that i'm spending money for it to eventually go away anyway. just seems like a waste

they fade significantly after some because of the acid in the mouth just from talking, much less factoring in the types of drinks/foods you consume

That may be, for some, but it's been 6 years and the penis is still going strong.

Temporary not necessarily from the acid inside the mouth (I didn't realize mouths were so acidic?)... but definitely due to the fact that your teeth are rubbing against the epithelium of your bottom lip - all the time! That tissue is constantly being shed and replaced. Fat enough to kick that tattoo outta there after a few months (give or take). I had a friend who got one and it was gone in 10+ weeks. Fun for the oooh-ahh factor!

I don't mind them. The ink RARELY stays in so you would have to get it retouched a few times for the ink to hold or only certian parts of the ink hold.

I'm not sure what the point of a tattoo on the inside of your lip is? Who's gonna see it? What does it mean? On the outside is a huge no no! I am tat'd up all over and my first rule is NEVER get a tattoo you can't cover up! They are NOT always appropriate and face & neck tats are definitely the biggest NO NO!!!!!

they don't last. you have to get them touched up so often, they end up fading so fast.

The point of one of these has to be the process, rather than the result. Result sounds pointless, but I have friends that are addicted to the process of getting a tattoo.

That's pretty unique then!.....not everyone can say they have a big green penis in their mouths...........unless of course they happen to be the wives of the jolly green giant or the incredible hulk
