hello everyone! Was just wondering if anyone has done 30ds I've heard great things so I've ordered it BUT few questions! If your sore do you keep doing it the next day for beat results? Also what do you recommend doing after this one? And (last one) share your results doing the 30ds? Thanks!

I just kept pushing through when I was sore the first few days when I started 30DS. It gets better, for sure. I was achy, but it didn't hurt to do the exercises, if that makes sense.

I lost around 6 pounds and just over 6 inches (3 from my waist alone).

I thought I would give the Bootcamp workout a try when I finished 30DS. I didn't like it, so I have decided to to back to back sessions of 30DS. I may try Ripped in 30 after this. From what I understand, it is more challenging than 30DS.

Stick with it, and good luck to you.
  • i liked the 30DS and i was achy but not sore... but getting up and down so much made me dizzy and sick to my stomach after the 3rd day. so for now im doing her frontside for beginners, then backside for beginners. after that ill try the 30DS again, then on to ripped in 30.
  • I kept pushing through the pain but it was only achy pain. It didn't really hurt too bad. I have moved on to the Ripped in 30 which is alot like the 30 DS but there are 4 sessions instead of 3. I really love the Ripped in 30! I have also tried her 6 week 6 pack which is okay. I like these because they are 30-35 min and I work out in the mornings before work and cannot do much longer than that. On the weekends I have bought Bob Harper's Extreme Cardio Workout. This is 60 min but is a crazy workout. I have lost 49 lbs since march and been doing using Jillian's DVD's since April. Keep up the good work!
  • I did my first day in the morning and my second day at night that way I had 36hours to recover, I woke up this morning and did is right away.

Push through the pain :) Alternatively swap which level you do, so day one level 3 day two level 2 day three level 1 day four level 2 etc, that way you will not be straining to much...

Its a good DVD, use YouTube in the meantime if you do not have the DVD yet! Thats what I did, because mine didn't arrive on the 1st!

I think it depends on how sore you are. When I first did the 30DS, I hadn't been doing any exercise at all! I was ambitious and powered through the workout with the only dumbbells I had at the time (5lbs). I felt sick for a few hours after and could hardly walk for two days! :P So I waited a couple of days before I worked out again since I was so stinkin' sore. I learned my lesson with Jillian workouts - go easy if you're just starting, at least for me.

I did the workout longer than 30 days, added her Banish Fat Boost Metabolism to the routine, alternating days, and kept track of what I was eating. My goal was to lose 10lbs, and I lost 12, and dropped a pants size. :) This was with working out 4-5 days a week, and it took me about 4 months.

I would suggest Ripped in 30 after the Shred - similar format in the workouts, but more intense I think. Watch for her other DVDs to go on sale at Target or online - you can never have too many Jillian DVDs in my opinion! :) My favorites and what I'm doing now is Ripped in 30 and Six Week Pack - love them both.
