Are they really that bad for you? Those things are my number one weakness..and my fam had to go out and get a box. :[

As far as junk food goes, they really aren't bad. I usually have a box in my house, and a handful (at 100 calories) curbs the salty snack cravings.0

I haven't had them at all since I joined MFP, but I would think they're not terrible for you. The worst thing would probably be the sodium...and the orange dye....0

Just stay within your calorie goal and you'll be fine! Enjoying a little of the foods you love every so often will help keep you from feeling deprived and will keep you on track towards your goals.0

Hey I LOVE Goldfish and I let myself snack on them cuz they gotta be better than potato chips.....0

They do not really have any nutritional value. But some now and then and not the whole box will not hurt you!0

I love cheez-its also. I could sit and eat the whole box in one day lol. When I do buy them now, I just eat the serving size but I don't let myself eat them everyday.....a couple times a week!0

I can't buy them - especially the white cheddar flavor. Once I have one....I can't stop until the whole box is gone. I know Cheez-its makes a lowfat version, but they seriously taste like cardboard.
If you have the self control to maintain portion control, eating them every once in awhile if fine. If you're like me.....ohhh don't even buy them!0 -
White Cheddar are my favorite! Keep in mind, though, that 25 crackers = 150 calories and there are 13 servings per box!! I used to just sit and watch football and eat them not anymore lol. It's very easy to consume 500-600 calories at time so be careful. The other thing is, they make you thirsty so you end up consuming liquid calories that way as well.0

im eatin a "snack pack" of white cheddar now... they make the white cheddar and monterey jack in a box of "snack packs" and each baggy is 180 calories...it curbs my "salty" desire (plus i have always loved cheezits!) and actually ease any hunger i'm feeling between meals! YUMMY!0

I like the reduced fat ones. They are my all time favorite crackers. But I have to put the servings in snack size baggies and take only one to work...ha. If i don't, i make them all go away in one day.0

I have such a weakness for cheez-its. :-/ I count each one I eat so I won't go over the serving size-- But if it were possible I would live on them.
Cheez-its, coffee and chocolate...

They're what I eat when I forget to pack a lunch for work and wind up eating lunch out of the vending machine. Not great but at least there's a little protein in there.0

Oh, Cheez-Its. How I love you. They are my kryptonite. In my mind, a serving size is whatever size the box is. I must keep those evil unnaturally orange squares out of my hands. Even when overweight, I didn't eat much junk food, however, once a week I would grab a bag (2 ounce bag!) of Cheez-Its from the vending machine.0

That was one of my favorites too. I try to count out 1 serving and put in a bowl and just put the rest of the box away. I don't keep a lot of my weakness in the house, because on the days I have no willpower, I don't want to eat a lot of crap and then be mad at myself for eating it all.0

It is becoming a pet peeve to me when people say something has *NO* nutritional value, when it fact, it does have *SOME* nutrition in it.0 -

as *I* personally can not manage portion control around stuff like that,:blushing: i am very drawn to salty, fatty foods ..........oh i might *think* or plan to have one (1) handful,
but, later, there i am, with half a box in my stomach.:indifferent:
but for more disciplined ppl than i am, who DO have calories to spend and have already mostly met all their nutrient needs, go for it. Some ppl feel deprived if they can't indulge in their favorite snacks, and that could lead to bad attitude/going off track, maybe.
but for *me*, eating that kind of stuff seems to set off a whole unhealthy-ish crave, so for right now, for me, i am trying to avoid such items,
but, i am still new and still not real strong inside yet. Maybe when i am really stronger and more disciplined, i can indulge in small amounts of heroin, er, i mean fatty salty crunchy processed foods! heee hee, that IS nutritional heroin for ME, haha!0 -
cheez-its used to be my breakfast every morning along with a diet coke...i still love them...and now i can amaze myself with how long the 3lb box has been sitting on my counter:)0
