Golf calaries

Calaries burned for golf w/ power car seems so high. I'm surprised. Any thoughts/

    I was very surprised when MFP gave me over 1000 calories for a round of golf with a power cart. Not sure it is very accurate.

    Yeah, I used a calculator online and figured up my own. The golf category on MFP seems WAY to high.

    I just cut it by 50%...that seems more accurate

    ummm.......I played 18 holes one day with the hubs----we walked.......I wore my heart rate monitor and I burned about 500 calories. This is why a heart rate monitor is mandatory--you cannot rely on those numbers unless you are wearing a monitor. If riding in a cart, how do you get your heart rate up? Okay, maybe walking from cart to ball? My hubs and I walk 18-holes just for the exercise, so when we walk, we power walk while pulling our clubs.
