Ticker..start weight?

I have been using MFP start weight on my ticket instead of my high weight. I had lost 29 pounds before joining MFP. Which do you use? My ticker went from showing an 8 pound loss to showing my true 37.5 pound loss. This obviously isn't a right or wrong question..I was just curious as to what other people do.

I started with the weight that I was at when I joined MFP
I had lost 20 pounds in the last 18 months prior to joining, but I didn't do it the right way, really. I used my current weight because then I could track how successful THIS was versus what I had done in the past

I've been using mine with my starting weight on MFP, only once before this did I successfully lose weight and that was when I ditched completely the diet soda's and dropped 50 lbs in 6 months, but I started here at my heaviest weight ever and am tracking the loss.
I can certainly understand wanting to see the overall weight loss, and would probably do so if I'd lost weight prior to being here0
