i am SO FRUSTRATED! i was doing great until a few weeks ago...i got sick and didn't eat for 4 days, and after that, EVERYTHING sounded so good. and now i am having total pig-out sessions at least 3x a week. it starts with wanting a small snack, and then i have another...and another...and it snowballs out of control! i don't know what to do, but every time it happens it makes me incredibly frustrated and discouraged! it usually happens when I am trying to put off doing something (like homework) but i don't know how to stop it! any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Set your oven timer ( or watch timer, phone, whatever) for 15 minutes, and start on whatever it is that you've been putting off. See how much you can get done in that time. You're allowed to stop once the 15 minutes is up!
I say this because, if you stop trying to put things off, maybe you won't comfort eat to avoid them!0 -
I use to do the same exact thing. I stopped binge eating when I stopped buying snack food at the grocery store. I remember when I was in college, I would buy a 6 pack of granola bars and eat them all in one sitting. The easy solution is just don't keep them in your house, apartment, or dorm. Still, to this day, I struggle with this a lot. I only buy small amounts of fruit when I go shopping each week or I'll binge eat that as well.0

^Yes! I was the exact same way last semester and this semester I've gotten SO much better. Just don't keep it in the house!0 -
I agree with the above posters. If you don't have a lot of snack food in the house, you wont eat it. I used to do the same thing. For example, I used to buy skinny cow ice cream sandwiches. I was doing weight watchers at the time and they were I think 2 points each back then. But I'd eat one and then think, "It's only two points. I can have one more." The next thing I knew I'd be logging 8 points for skinny cows, which was about a third of my day's allowance.
Dang it. Now I want a skinny cow.0
