Stationary Bike question

Hi all,

I use a stationary bike for a lot of my cardio and when reviewing the entry options in the exercise area, it does not say anything about resistance and speed for the different stationary bike entries. I keep it low resistance around 2 or 3 and keep the speed around 21, so would this be vigorous, very vigorous, moderate? What if I increase the resitance and lower the speed what would that fall under?

Thanks for any help on this..

i know its under stationary cycling.
Most exercise bikes will have a built in calorie counter for u to use. which is effected by ur speed, etc.
Some even have heart monitors on the handles!

Without using a heart rate monitor, I would call what you are doing moderate. What is your perceived exertion level? Do you pant and sweat?

    Hi all,

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately this is a cheaper model so the monitors are rather limited and I think it only estimates as there are no hand sensors or heart rate monitors on it. I do work up a good sweat and need a good stretching period afterwards. Can't say I pant, but I do sweat.

    Thanks again
