Cooked weight listing in database for meat

I usually try to weigh my meat raw before I cook it, but sometimes that isn't an option. In those cases I weigh my portion after it is cooked. When I do this I always try to find a meat listing that lists a cooking method. I assume that if there is a cooking method that the weight in the listing is for the cooked weight, as compared to a raw listing. Is this an accurate assumption?

there's no standard for cooked weight as some consider blue-rare to be cooked while others prefer well done which will remove a lot more water weight... same calories in the piece of meat but the blue-rare is going to weigh more, and unless the "cooked" says how cooked it is your better off sticking with raw measures.

I agree. If I don't weigh something before I cook it I either estimate the weight based on size and past experience or I just don't log it. Being a little over or under on calories once in a while isn't a big deal.
