Hi everyone,

I am jetting of to Florida on Wednesday for the first time and I am SUPER excited! However I just wanted some tips and advice on what to eat whilst I am out there?!

I am going to try and fill my diary in when I can, and I am not going to eat salad everyday, as I have to try some American classics. So any restaurants which do a healthy-ish meals, then please let me know!

I don't want to put on TOO much weight whilst I am out there, but I do want to enjoy myself.

   I CANT WAIT! xxx

Where in Florida are you going to?? I live In Daytona..
Anywhere in Florida, you can get fresh fish almost every day of the year & the restaurants that do offer fish you can get it baked, broiled, & grilled. =)
just stay away from the fried foods!!
  • In Orlando, Seasons 52, Funky Monkey Wine Company and Hot Olives. Amazing food.

Florida sounds fun! I want to go! :) We were there last summer and ate at Snappers Sea Grill in St. Petersburg beach. Oh my....
I had the coconut cashew crusted mahi mahi with puffed pastry potato and grilled banana and mango salsa. It was excellent!!!!! The Wasabi crusted tuna was also very tasty and was the #1 favorite on their menu.

    Have a fun trip!!!
  • What part of FL? I have to agree with the other people who have commented. Also ... If you need something quick and easy, hit ChickFilA for a Chargrilled Chicken Salad for 180 calories plus dressing (I get fat free honey mustard for 120). Tastes great and is a LARGE enough portion to fill you up...

Agrees with Season's 52, Sweet Tomato, and Funky Monkey Wine Company. Also, Tempano's, Morton's, and The Vine are also excellent choices. Have fun. I am envious:) I loveeeeee some FLA!
