Sad but still an important NSV

We had to put one of our dogs down yesterday. It wasn't totally unexpected, but still very difficult and sad. In the past, I would have gone straight from the vet office to a fast food place and then would have continued to eat my way through the day. But I actually didn't have any desire to do it. I've definitely changed, and even though yesterday was a sad day, I'm glad something good came out of it!

Sad to hear about the dog, but glad you are holding it together food wise.
  • Sorry for your loss. My family went through this in April. It was very hard. Good for you on your decision!

I am very very sorry for your loss. I have 2 dogs that I love dearly. I know they only want to see you happy so give him/her that. Make yourself happy and healthy. Do your best and that is good enough for your dog.

I will have to be doing that in a very short time with our Sylvia (lymphatic cancer)... We found out Friday... We stopped on the way back from the vet to get her a hamburger (when she does well in the car and vet, she gets a plain burger) and for a moment I thought about adding to that order...I ate at home, but I chose healthy stuff to shovel in my face at least... I totally understand how BIG of a NSV this is for you... My heart goes out to your family... :brokenheart:

So so sorry for your loss. But well done on not falling back into bad habits. I hope it's not too hard today without the pooch around. x
  • Sorry to hear about your dog! I know how easy it is to eat your way through stuff like that, so huge KUDOS to you for not even wanting it.
