So, I have a general question............if it doesn't matter if you get your walk in by doing it 10 minutes at a time............then are you able to count your steps each day?

In other words, some days I walk a total of 3 miles.........throughout the day..........now, ive done a 5k and that took me 1 hour..actually 58 minutes........so if I've walked 3 miles in a day, am I able to claim 58 minutes of walking?

Just curious how everyone does it.

Thanks!

That one would be iffy since the 58 minutes would be considered in a different cardio zone that is constantly maintained. If you are fitting in 3 miles during the day, yes, it would be 58 minutes. However, it wouldn't be the calorie count of 58 minutes as calculated by MFP because it's taking into consideration that you are keeping your heart rate elevated at that level for a long period of time. It's kind of the same mentality of why sex is not listed as an activity on MFP; you aren't maintaining a constant heart rate.
