Green Tea??

Hi everyone!! Happy new Year!!!

As many of you, I am trying to get back on track.....and I will hopefully stick to it.
Do any of you drink Green Tea and if so, so you notice a difference from drinking it??
They say (although Im not sure who "they" are) that it helps in dieting, but I would rather hear from you guys.

    I have read many articles about green tea and have never really gotten the info. on how it helps one lose weight. However, it does give our immune system a boost and I am thinking since I've read that dieter are suppose to drink 4-5 cups a day of green tea, I believe with all that tea sloshing inside you- you are to full to eat. I love coffee and teas. I have been drinking 4 cups of green tea every day. I use it when I want something sweet(I am trying to get off all sweeteners but once a day is better than 9-12 times a day) and just before meals to help fill me up. I have noticed that the tea before meals help me to last longer before I need a snack. Or maybe its all in my head! Sorry no real answer for you. I am sure someone here will know. There seems to be some very knowledgable folks here.

    Lots of threads can be found on this very topic ....click community, then in the search box, type in green teas......... it comes up often around here:wink:

    I have been drinking green tea for about 3 months since I gave up coffee. I haven't noticed any difference in weight. But I am not trying to lose right now but maintain.

    What I have noticed is I am sleeping much better, not having as many hot flashes/night sweats and I have more energy during the day. Probably from sleeping better.

    I LOOOOVE green tea!!!!
    drinking hot water makes u full so u don't really want to have snack anymore that's an help.
    And since it makes u more awake I think it boosts ur systems which is always good: more movements, more cals lost!
  • I take green tea pills from Holland and barratt, and i find that as long as i don't go over 1500 kcal a day i lose about 1- 1/2 lbs a week.
    Over the holidays however i haven't been exercising but this hasn't made a difference, i'm still losing the weight :)
