Hello MFP's...Im having a hard week...tomorrow will be my 3rd week using MFP. At first I started out awesome! But this last week has been kinda hard for me.. since I haven't lost even an ounce..lol. All week (with the exception of today..we had a family bbq and I kinda over did it..) I have stayed within my calorie range..and didn't lose anything. Infact I was under calories cause of my cardio calories earned..but Im not discouraged AT ALL! I think I know the problem..and that is my eating habbits. I don't eat every 2-3 hours like I did in the beginning. Instead I eat like 2 times a day with no snacks (but lots of water)...I gotta work on this..I know. Especially cause I get kinda upset when I worked out over an hour every day this week..and I haven't seen any changes on the scale. I started night classes a week into this..and I know that plays a part in my change of eating habits since I wake up later..stay up later..and eat later..even though Im "in my calorie range"....BUT anyway..
I started working out almost immediately when I started this and have kept up with it almost everyday ( I gave myself a break today). Im doing really good on the elliptical..awesome actually..but Im trying to incorporate some weight training in with my workouts as well. My problem is..Im overweight by like 150lbs..and I had knee surgery last year. I lost my job..and my insurance so I couldn't continue my physical therapy and Im at a complete loss when it comes to trying to build the muscle back in my knee and leg on the weight machines. Its frustrating cause a few years back I lost quite a bit of weight and the loss of the strength in my leg I feel is holding me back!
Im just venting tonight..cause Im irritated that I can't do all the things that I used to and its embarassing not knowing what machines to use... especially since I baby the knee now and am adding so much pressure on my other knee..AND i DIDN'T LOSE ANY WEIGHT THIS WEEK! lol.. I had asked my gym what machines they suggested and of course they didn't help me at all except try to get me to pay lots of money for a trainer. Of course I can't get a trainer right now cause its EXPENSIVE! I have alot of pride when it comes to finances so I just said thank you, and that I would think about it. I know this journey its not gonna be easy..especially with my injury..but I know I can do this! I know I can!!
