Staying motivated! Help!

Hey guys! I lost 22 pounds this summer! I am super proud of myself but I really have had a hard time keeping up with my diet and exercise now that school has started. :embarassed: I am exhausted all the time and like to go to parties on the weekends. Anybody have tips on how to find energy/inspiration to work out when you just want to sleep? Also, how to go to parties with out drinking 800 calories and eating 1000?

I did SO well this summer and my confidence is through the roof. I don't think I can bear to gain the weight back. Please give me some kind of motivation. Feel free to add me as a friend. :flowerforyou:

    My trick for inspiration is to have a look at the clothes that used to fit me and no longer do and look at myself in a new outfit (which after 22lbs, you are bound to have a few!) and you will see how much better you look and feel without the extra weight.

    I am sure you don't want to go back to wearing the bigger size clothes and lose all that confidence, it's just not worth ruining all your hard work for a quick fix or an easy way out.

    Find ways to help you with your healthy eating. Make snacks on weekends, this is what I do. I cut up loads of veg and healthy snacks and bring them into work, it helps me avoid the vending machines which have no healthy options in them at all. Then you don't have to do this during the week also, you can just grab them on your way out in the mornings, then you don't have any excuse.

    Good luck, hope you stay motiviated as you've done so well and rightfully so, you should be proud of your accomplishments so far.

    Some of my MFP friends and I are part of a wonderful Facebook group that offers support, motivation and friendship for people that are trying to lose weight. The group has become so popular that we now have 6 groups!

    We are basically a support group. A place that you can discuss your issues, struggles, successes and goals. We have weekly mini challenges; one diet based and one exercise based.

    We weigh in weekly on a Monday (this is not set in stone, you can weigh in any day you like and add it to the Monday weigh-in thread).

    Great advantage of the group--
    - great place to have all your updates and to see everyone else's progress
    - Monday weight ins with the announcement of who is most successful in losing weight for the week! (healthy competition is great :)
    - MiniChallenges to keep pushing us forward.
    - Great way to share any concerns and communicate with other people like you very directly :)
    - We will have challenges between the six groups each week also

    Anyone interested? Don't worry about outing your weight in your newsfeed....The group is set to secret so that no one else on your facebook can see what you're typing.
