I am 5ft. I eat at least 1200 calories a day. If I exercise well then I will eat more if I am hungry. I don't eat all the exercise calories back though. I don't go hungry but I don't force feed myself either.

Im over 5', but let me say this...have you found your BMR? if not, I highly suggest that you do. You may need more, or possibly less. Just depends on your overall body needs.

I am BARELY 5'0"... and my BRM is almost 1400, so YES I would NEVER eat 1200 calories anymore. But I learned my lesson the HARD way. Hopefully you will take others advice and learn from their mistakes.

5'0, eating 1000-1200 calories. My bmr is around 1440, and if I ate that, I would only be losing 1/2 a pound a week, if that. Eating an average of 1100 allows me to lose one pound a week.

I'm 4'10" and ~100 lbs. and a I maintain around a NET of 1500-1600. I'd say a healthy loss for someone around my size is .5 lbs/week so a deficit of 250 a day would bring me to a net of ~1250-1350.

I'm 5 feet even and I try to net around 1000-1200 per day. Lately I've been going way over that though....
