    MEGAN: what do you think did it - did you throw in some sprints here and there? did you keep another runner in range and try and stick with them - anything you can share we'd love to hear what may have made a difference or just the regular race adrenaline must have done it.

    I focused on keeping my stride long because I know when I get tired, that's what slows me down. I also tried to stretch out a lot on the downhill parts to try to make up some time I lost on the uphill parts. Basically, I think I was subconsciously swept up into trying to keep up with people, but I really just tried to block them out and focus on my own race. Good luck on everyone's races!
