Info of the Day: How to be comfortable in ur own skin.

Being comfortable in your own skin is a journey. You must be willing to step out of your normal routine if it is not working for you and do things out of the ordinary to get to know yourself and be comfortable with yourself.

Remembering that when you are comfortable with yourself, you can be comfortable with others and therefore be successful in life. True, long-lasting self- confidence comes when you are comfortable in your own skin.Being comfortable with yourself is a mind/body/and soul process:

1
Prepare yourself for what you want to do- plan and evaluate where you stand to start with. First, make a list of where you are now and where you want to go. Make small reasonable goals as to where you help you grow. Make a list of your weaknesses and know that you are not a victim of weaknesses. They can be overcome with time and patience.

Remember, the most important thing you can do is stay positive. Managing and maintaining a rational, positive outlook is important for what you want to achieve. And remember you have to make a promise to yourself that you are absolutely committed to your goals and you will do all in your power to achieve it. If as you’re doing it, you find doubts arising write them down and challenge them calmly and rationally point by point. Do not let your goals overwhelm you!

2
Stop talking about doing something and put it to action and actually do something about it. Remember not to push yourself past what you can handle or try to handle more than you are capable. This will just burn you out and make you feel worse than before. So set small, doable goals- yes they can be challenging. BUT make sure you can realistically see you stepping out of your norm to do it, it will make you strong for trying. No one is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes and some times it will take a couple tries to get where you want to be- don't give up! Its a journey. Maintain a positive mentality. It is essential in your goal meeting.

3
Feel the growth. When you start feeling yourself achieving and meeting the goals you have set out to meet, sit down and analyze your strengths and weaknesses again. When you see that what was once a weakness for you at one point isn't anymore and you have met goals you will be filled with self- satisfaction and become comfortable in your own skin which will in turn have a long- lasting building effect on your self- confidence.

TIPS:
Keep yourself and your goals realistic and doable– this is where people tend to get over-confident and over-stretch themselves. And make sure you don’t start enjoying cleverness for its own sake…

Get a support system... friends or family who can know what you are trying to do and can be there to confident in if you have a hard time with your goals.

Your support system can also help you meet your goals by being able to offer advice to you that could help you meet your goals.

WARNINGS:

If you are being realistic, you are going to change (but for the better).

You are going to have to step out of a normal routine that may make you uneasy but trust yourself and know that it is worth it!
