Hello! Love finding a fellow cat lovers! I have two cats, well one was my husbands (Waxy Daxy Doodle) and one is my tortie!

I love my tortie! She is my first cat and YES a lover! While she is not really a lap cap during the day, at night it's ALL ABOUT HER! LOL However, during the day (and evening) she pretty much follows me around. If I am downstairs, she is downstairs, if I go to the bathroom and close the door, she OPENS it! LOL The only time she is alone is during one of her many afternoon naps. She likes to lay in the guest tub. She pulls the curtain back and lays upside down with her back half one way and her front half the other! She is so cute! I JUST LOVE HER!

She likes when I sing to her! LOL I sing these silly little songs (only a cat lover would do this) and tell her how cute she is and how her nose is like a little chocolate chip! (NERD ALERT, RIGHT?) She ALWAYS ends up purring and when I stop she opens her eyes and puts her paw on my face and slowly blinks them! She doesn't close them again until I keep singing!

She is ALWAYS on my face in the morning! LOL Sometimes really cute, other times really annoying! Not only does she try to lay on my face, but she likes to MMMMEEERRROOOWWWW really loud over and over or chirps like a bird until I get up or pet her or lay her on my belly and give her a good rub down! LOL If I don't do this fast enough, she will MARCH around on my belly while "chirping" in time! SO CUTE!!!!

I like to dance with her in the bedroom and she will do this weird little bouncy thing! LOL It's VERY cute! :)

SHE LOVES milk rings! :) She can catch them with her front paws and then carries them around! They are her favorite toy! Other things she likes to do is play with my hand under the blanket, swat at bugs, and run around into a frenzy every evening with the red light. If she hears the click, she's up and ready, making more sound!

Everyone that meets her is amazed at how dog like she is. I think it's because she constantly talks, kinda barks and calls when her name is called. She can also sit and stay! LOL Oh and yes, Kumi is a big girl! She's 5 years old 13.5-14 pounds! Our other cat Waxy is tiny! She's 9 years old and 5.5 pound! She's SO ADORABLE!

Anyway, she brings so much joy to my life! :)

I have written a novel, so i will save Waxy for tomorrow! LOL

My cats are my family :-) I love them both to death. One of them can be bratty at times and has some separation issues but overall they make my home complete! All my friends are amazed at how friendly they are too...they never run away when people come over! I am a huge cat lover in general and if I could I would adopt all the kitties that need homes :-)

How cute!!! Reminds me of my sister. She adores her two cats and one of them is like a big fluffy lion. The other looks like the "lucky cat." They sleep on her head too LOL.

Might sound silly, but I had a cat for 14 years and I had this crazy connection with him, we were best friends. Never had the heart to get another because I never want that feeling of loss again.

But now I have my neighbors cats! They come over to visit everyday, invite themselves in, and my dad and I feed them. They are so cute!!

OMG I would adopt all kitties too!! Actually, i got Kuma because many moons ago I was at work and this work friend casually said, "My cat had more kittens and we can't keep them, going to throw them in the dumpster." WHAT?!?!? I had never had a cat before and considered myself a "dog person" and WOW- so glad to have her!

Oh I also go Kuma at 4 weeks old! She was soooo tiny! :) I bought a shoebox to transport her home in but she slid around! So I had to wrap her in a blanket, tie it to me and then had he against my chest! LOL Anyway, because of that, if ever bad (RARELY) the neck thing doesn't work. Also, she needs and SUCKS everything. My pillow case, blanket, quilt, rugs, towels! LOL Sometimes it's so loud it wakes me up! :)

SORRY ABOUT THE PIC SIZE! :( Still working on that!

    I currently have 6 cats :

Synders - also known as the Dirty Old Man cat because he has an underbite and he looks like an old man with no teeth. He is black with a little white ruff on his chest. We named him Synders because although he is black, he was so exposed to the elements when I got him as a kitten that his fur looked like it glowed red like cinders in a charcoal pit.

Sjaati - A gold and brown tabby/tortie and mom-cat to Scumble and Sassy. Sjaati means the fire within or passion, she has a lot of spirit.

Solstice - Solid black male, fixed now, but father to Sassy and Scumble. He has this high-pitched meow, people always assume he is a girl because of his voice. He was found on the day of Summer Solstice (hence the name) when I saw him get run over by a truck and tumbled around in the street. Luckily, his injuries were minor and he is a bit of a love for sure.

Scumble - Grey and tan tortie - She is named after the practice of throwing lots of colors on a stage set backdrop before painting the scenery. There is no rhyme or reason to her markings.

Sassy - Grey and white long-haired tabby and definitely lives up to her name.

Shaman - The newest addition to the family. She too is a tortie, but her markings are so distinct because her face is split in half. Where it is black on one side, it is tan on the other. So, she is named Shaman because she looks like she is walking between worlds.

I recently sent two more to live with my eldest daughter (each of my daughters claim two cats each.) They are:

Soot: Long-haired charcoal grey undercoat with a black topcoat... He looks like he climbed up a chimney and got all dirty in the soot.

And Samhain: Orange and Black tortie who looks like Hallowe'en threw up all over her.

If you haven't noticed, they are all named with the letter 'S'. Silly superstition. The only animal I have that doesn't have an 'S' name in the house is Dooley the Dog, because he had already been named and was used to it before we were asked to take him.

So, there's MY novel about cats... LOL
  • We have two. A calico named Isabella and a new part Siamese named Cleopatra. They are wonderful. They keep our 4 dogs in line. :-)

Put in the dumpster??!?!?? I am always amazed at how the disregard for life whether human or animals is so pervasive! Why not just take them to the local animal shelter???
Anyway, I love my princess pooper! I have been through so much hell and back this past year and a half. She has chronic GI issues so there were times when I thought I would come home and find her dead! She was so ill....even the vet was preparing me. I get so frustrated sometimes. She is 15+ and when I think of it she has been with me through my whole "growing' up as an adult. To describe her personality...this one dude said "wow she is like a guard dog!!!!!!" Her whold stance and look is 'don't mess with my mama or my HOUSE!' Very territorial. I didn't expect that from a girl kitty.
Due to her illness I cherish each day. CATS RULE!!!!!!!!
  • I love, love love cats. I've always had em. Right now I have a black sweetheart named Bender. He is an awesome cat with some wonderful antics. !
I'd save them all if I could and jeez, I'd the the old lady in a stinky shoe...

I love that the cats keep the dogs in line! SO CUTE!

Xaspar- I love all the cats! WOW! You must have a fun house! :) Superstitions are fun! When i had dogs they always had three names and that is why both our cats do! :) LOL While all your cats sound fabulous, I love Snyder's description! CUTE! :) And what great names!!!! :)

GaiaGirl1992-Can't wait to see your pics! :) And i love that little cat! =^-^= SUPER ADORABLE! I am now going to be using that! LOL

Garlicgirl- Princess Pooper! LOL Aww, I'm sorry about your cat! That is so horrible and makes me sad! But you have the total right attitude about it! Cherish each day and know that she had a great life! 15 years is great! And yes, I don't know what is wrong with people. I would NEVER throw a dog or cat or any living thing out. I guess to each their own? Some people don't view animals as part of the family! You know what I say to that? CAT'S ARE TOTALLY PART OF THE FAMILY! And I'm sorry for those who don't get it! Not just with cats, with all animals! Guard dog? CUTE!

I love cats! I have always had cats growing up. Right now I have 2. My older cat, Jewel (black with a little white spot on her) is 8 and we adopted a fiesty little guy last year. They said he was 5, but I believe he is a little younger as they didn't even know he was male. I think he got switched up with another cat. His name is Eli. I call him Mr. Kitty because he is a very dapper little cat. If he had a hat and monocle he would be all set. lol
I have had Jewel since she was born. My parents still have the mama cat. :)
They don't get along per say, but it is more play. Eli has helped Jewel lose weight since he chases her around. She was just so lazy before. lol
If my husband would let me I would have more. lol I would be a crazy cat lady if he didn't stop me. lol

I used to work at an animal hospital. They had three cats which lived in the clinic. One of them was named DC, short for Dumpster Cat. That's where they found him. He was the sweetest thing.

I have my own named Daisy. She's a domestic shorthair, as far as we know. She was found on the street (declawed no less!) and brought to the humane society. We were the second family to adopt her, the first took her back. Their loss!

It seems I always have 4 cats. Right now I have an 18 year old short hair all black old lady, Rascal. She is the last of my oldies, having outlived her previous housemates, 2 of whom lived to over 20 years old.

Next is Cali - a calico (imagine that) that was a neighborhood stray up until 2.5 years ago when she decided to adopt my house as her home base. Although she had lived in the neighborhood for at least a year, she had only ever come to visit on extremely cold and snowy nights (and beg to stay)... and she had had a litter of 4 babies when she first started around my house... after 10 weeks I took those babies to the SPCA.

Brownie - my tortie is 2.5 years old (sound familiar?) - yes, Cali's daughter. That girlie wouldn't leave and that was because she was ready to give birth (IN MY HOUSE!) that night. There were 2 boys too but they live next door with my neighbor.f

Daphne - is just 2 - she is Cali's girl as well! When Cali was still nursing the other 3 she went out a few times and ended up with another litter. This time 7 babies! Thank goodness I was able to find homes for 6 of them. Daphne and Brownie absolutely love each other and they are both fixed and so is their mother.

Whiskers - he is the daddy... he still lives outside. My dog does not love Whiskers and chases him ALL the time. Since Rascal is 18 and does not love the babies, I can not subject her to the craziness that will ensue when Whiskers moves in... and yes, he will. Charlie will just have to figure out how to do this!

My crazy house! They are all my children!

I have a short haired calico named Penny. She is about 14 years old and she has chronic renal failure. She is a fiesty pain in the *kitten*, but I love her dearly.

I LOVE the pics!!!! I love the stories! I love how we give our cats little things like "monocles" and know their personality!

Even more I love that we all love animals!

My best friend worked at an animal shelter and got her dog there! They were going to put him down because he had been returned three times! There is absolutely nothing wrong with him! He's the sweetest dog ever- just needed somebody to train him! My mom and dad just got a dog from a shelter too!

My other cat Waxy is a shelter cat. I didn't pick her out, but Todd (my husband) did and he said "she chose him," which I think happens often! :) She was the most tiny, shyest and dirtiest cat he recalls! :) I love that he picked her! When she was little, like 4 months or so, she broke her leg from a chair falling on her. It was devastating. We felt to bad. She had a little cast on her leg... AND I SIGNED IT! :) LOL

She is a bit tempermental. She growls a lot. But it means nothing. I am seriously convinced she just has a "crazy" voice. You know, like when you hear smoker-smokers talk? And it's all raspy and low and scratchy? It might sound odd, but that is just their voice. LOL I think Wax is the same way! :)

She will come up to me, make THEE tiniest 'm....m..e..w?" jump into my arms and I'll hold her and pet her and then HIIIIISSSSSSSS she'll hiss and growl and away she goes! :) She likes to run around me in circles when I do my Turbo Fire workotus. It's very funny! Sometimes, it's annoying though because I am afraid I'll step on her! I hate when I do that. It freaks me out, it freaks them out and then the other cat (not being stepped on) comes running....

OH CATS! I love them! Wax has come so far! She used to stay in the laundry room ONLY. She would never come out and we were concerned she didn't eat. Then slowly over the course of 8 years, she has gotten better and better. Finally though, when we moved into our house two years ago, she FLOURISHED! Everybody who knew her said so!

We moved from a one bedroom apt to a two story house. She RAN around, mewing happily, up and down the stairs and just exploring everywhere. Kuma... Poor Kuma! It took her two days just to get out of the bathroom. Her poor face smashed into the toilet. She is so outgoing and I can tell it really scared her. I see the pic of her all timid and I still laugh, because it's cute and silly. After about 12 hours she made her way out of the litterbox/bathroom and then explored. Still very skiddish... Now, she owns the joint! LOL Well, sometimes Wax, but Kuma is pretty much the alpha. Although, knowing Wax's odd temperment at time, we are both really amazed at how well Kuma takes being Bapped in the face for no reason. It's sweet. :)

    I couldn't help myself!!!

the light of my life, barnaby. but he gets called little b, b, baby bear etc etc

we adopted him from the SPCA and he was fully shave because he had been so neglected that all his long fur was matted to the point of dreadlocks, he has the biggest personality of any cat i have ever had in my life.

I have two cats, a 2 year old ginger named Reno who is my big baby, though as he grows older, he's kind of turning into a pretentious brat, but I love him. And then we have our year old kitty that still looks like a kitten. Her name is Elena (Ellie) and she is the bane of my existence. She's a long-tailed manx so she's wild and even when she wants attention, she usually purrs just outside of your grasp. She'd rather hide that be affectionate, but she loves my husband so she stays!
