So I have many people that I know that have had these procedures done...I've been eating healthy and staying on track for 8 weeks now. They have told me their symptoms if they eat too much and too fast at one time...do you know what is funny...I ate too fast and got sick at lunch...our body works the same way, but doesn't need the surgery!! I would highly recommend to anybody thinking about surgery to do it the natural way!! And those surgeries etc. haven't been studied long enough to know if they are safe!! Maybe I'm the only weird body that does this, but I'm thinking not!!!

good for you! i agree, but I haven't been in that situation of considering surgery so my opinion doesn't really count for much!
  • I considered it for a minute, but my sister is a doctor and pointed out the studies haven't been done long enough! She also gets info to things we don't, and there were a lot of incidents were people were dieing or rejecting the surgeries!
Natural is the best way to treat your body!!!

one more consideration is that this surgery is for very obese people who are more likely to have serious complications from any surgery, so it really is high risk.

I don't think many people go down this route without thinking it thru properly...and although its definitely not for me I can't bring myself to knock the folk that do choose this. I've heard it mentioned as the easy way but its not...i'm calorie counting but if I want a day off, a total blow out I can do that. Someone that has had surgery can't...ever again, thats not easy!
  • One girl I know gained all of her weight back after the gastric bypass..you can retrain your body to gain the weight back...I think so good motivation, and determination is so much safer, and you'll live a longer happier life!

Now I do have a real life friend who was extremely active and fit, TKD leader...forget which degree black belt. Anyway she was a large girl and I can testify to her healthy eating and fitness. She just was large. She got the lapband and lost a ton, over 150lbs and looked great!
She has been able to keep it all off because she always had good eating habits and is very active. She now runs her own TKD school! In some rare cases I think its good for people, like my friend. However I think a lot of people use it as a crutch and never learn how to be health to begin with.
