Stupid question about brown rice

Okay so I need some help figuring this one out. I am a idiot and can't seem to understand this. I bought some brown rice at Kroger today and ate a cup for supper (yeah I am southern and say supper, lol.) Anyways the label reads:
Serving Size 1/2 cup (43g)
(makes 1 cup prepared)
calories 150
When I scanned it into MFP and changed it to "one cup" it told me it was 600 calories. That just does not seem right. Is this correct, and I'm that dumb, or I am figuring it up wrong?

There is a difference in the prepared/non-prepared selection. MFP is assuming you used 1 cup of dry brown rice (unprepared) I would suggest.0

It's definitely nt 600 calories for a cooked cup. It's more like about 160 to 200 for a cooked cup. Look it up on the internet that's usually what I do.0

Not a stupid question! I'd suggest looking at the nutritional info on the box though and just verifying that it matches what comes up when you scan. I've found sometimes the UPC code doesn't match what I'm eating - better to double check than use an incorrect calculation. Good luck!0

That's what I was seeing when I searched it earlier, as well. I just couldn't figure out the label with the way it read. It seems to me it's saying 1/2C=1C after it's cooked so there for it would be 150 calories.0
