How many pounds do I have to lose to go down a size in clothing??? Seriously...I'm getting really annoyed! I have lost 25 lbs...172 to 147 and I am still in my beginning clothes! Yes, they fit better, but I would have thought I would have gone down at least one size by now. I know, I know that ## aren't everything, but it would be great to be down a clothing size. I am 5'7", 27 years old, weight 147 and in a size 12! So frustrating! Advice??

ok i was the same way i can still fit 18s comfortably but then i went to the store and tried on junior 15/17 and womens 16 and those fit as well but months ago b4 the weightloss i couldnt get into a size smaller then 18 so go to the store and see if u can wear a size down you might be pleasantly surprised0

Well lets be honest, were your clothes tighter, like maybe you should have been a size up when you started? I don't mean to sound rude but many people refuse to go up a size when they start getting tight and that's when they start to diet and instead of being honest wth themselves they just say "well I've been a size___ and nothings happening!"
I don't know what exercising you're doing but maybe try pilates, strengthen up your core, add strength training?0 -

Totally not trying to be rude here...but you say that your clothes fit "better"...maybe they weren't your proper size to begin with...I have some jeans that I "thought" fit me but really didn't realize how much the DIDN"T fit until I lost the weight and they fit much better!0 -
I too am 5'7" but I am 160 and a size 10 (but a 10 is a bit big now) soon to be size 8. That is odd, it must have to do with body type.0

I think alot of it has to do with where you carry your weight and where you have lost from.... take your measurements and that should help you to know where you are losing from which could explain why your not ready to go down in size just yet0

that sounds odd im a hell of a lot shorter than you (5ft 3 and i weigh like 3lbs less and totally not trying to rub it in your face but i wear a 3/4) (i do however carry my weight in my gut not my hips im an apple) most hip measuremnts for a 3/4 are usually 34-35inches just from my experience with my friends who wear the same size pants as me what are your hip measurements and thigh measurements whip out the tape measure also try dif. clothing brands try on smaller sizes and from my experience in dropping pant sizes each inch to inch and a half are a pant size meaning if you are in dif. brands 3-5-7 or 2-4-60
