So I just finished my first day of C25K and when I logged it on MFP and when I logged it on ActiveTrainer I was given way different calorie counts. Which one do you think is more reliable?

How much different were they? The calories on MFP I know are way, way off. It will say someone burned 600+ doing something and it's usually off by about 200-400. Mine on average are off about 100-300calories though. I always manually enter. I haven't tried ActiveTrainer but if it's lower than MFP I would go with that. I use Run Keeper for mine when I jog. It usually gives me pretty accurate calories.

EDIT: Once I got down in weight MFP calories have become closer to the ones I get off the cardio machines on the gym. Idk if that helps you. Great job on starting the C25K! I just started today as well

MFP was about 150-200 cal lower than AT, and the treadmill at the gym doesn't have a cal counter (or a timer?) so i dont know what that was. I really need a HRM.

I am frustrated because my HRM says I burn a lot fewer calories than I feel like it and it says I burn a lot less than what MFP says. I will do zumba for an hour and it says I only burn 300 calories or so but if you saw how sweaty I was and how hard I work, you would even think otherwise.

If you get a HRM, let me know what kind you get! I am wondering if mine just sucks! Haha. Goodluck!
