I get the "I can't believe it's not butter" spray. Hardly any calories, and it's REALLY good tasting!

I have the Parkay spray and it says no calories. I also use Country Crock Light butter

When I use butter, I make something called Better Butter. You mix equal amounts of real butter and olive oil (or other healthy oil) in a food processor or blender. It hardens in the fridge, but it's easy to spread, and you get the best of both worlds -- real butter and healthy oil.
  • Watch out for those "good for you" substitutes...even SmartBalance has trans fats--now considered by the medical establishment to be the worst possible kind to ingest.
They're made to stay solid at a greater range of temeperatures...like higher heat (for longer shelf life) but that means that they also stay more solid in the body.
Manufacturers can put up to 1/2 a gram per serving in their products without listing it in the Nutritional Facts panel (sneaky)...so don't assume that something is "trans fat free" just because it says so on the front of the label. Look at the ingredients. If it lists hydrogenated oils or fats at all...it's in there.

I have been using this for the past year....to tell you the truth, I can't remember when I last used "real"butter or any type of spread.... ICBINB spray, rocks!

    oh..one more thing....it lasts forever!
