Hurricane Katia

I've just received this from our travel people:

"Hurricane Katia is currently located about 450 miles south of Bermuda. She has become a category 4 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson hurricane wind scale. Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 135 mph with higher gusts. It is forecasted that some fluctuations in strength are possible during the next 24 hours, followed by slow weakening.

Although still not forecast to directly hit land, there are large swell warnings that are expected to affect most of the east coast of the United States, Bermuda, the Greater Antilles and east-facing beaches of the Bahamas during the next few days. These swells are likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions. Swells affecting the northern leeward islands should continue to subside today."

Anyone in her path, please stay safe and take care.
