Awful, horrible, no good knees.

What are good exercise videos (esp. strength training) for people with really bad knees?

hey gal,
I don't know of any videos to recommend, but I have tried the hover and the squat routines from The Firm workout, and they rock.
The key to strengthening your knees is to be patient and isolate your muscle gorups as you strength train. Quads and Hamstrings!!! and don't be afraid to wear a leg neophrene wrap brace for support if the range of motion may be a problem. When it comes to lunges, make sue your toe in slightly turned in towards you to reduce stress on the patella ligament, and don't let your front leg's knee cap go past your front foot's big toe. Keep your hips in allignment too.
Strengthen your quads and do high reps with the lunges and you will be good to go in about 8 weeks. 1 day of training legs super hard core, + 2 days of resting them away from strength training = solid and sexy legs with no knee problems. I know from experience!!!0 -
