so, i usually make a list every 2 weeks for dinners, and i saw this week i had a lot of hamburger items in them, so i got a 5 lb roll of hamburger meat. i usually buy several smaller rolls and just stick them in the freezer when i get home, but i put this one in the fridge, with intentions to divy it up and then freeze it, but it has been in there a day longer than i had planned, and im afraid to freeze it at this point***finally to my post**** what i want to know is is it ok to cook the hamburger, then freeze it ?? i plan on making several caserolls and freezing them, but i was wondering if that would 1) be safe, and 2) taste ok after it is thawed and reheated in the oven. i have a feeling this week wil drag, and i wont want to cook, so im preparing ahead of time..thanks yall

Yes. You can cook it and freeze it afterwards. It will be fine.

Absolutely. I cook, season and freeze it when I know that we're going to be pressed for time with the kiddos...it's awesome to just thaw it and prepare the rest of the meal...
