Question for MFP's with Bodybugg/Bodymedia

I've had my Bodymedia Fit for about a week now and was wondering how many people actually eat at a certain deficit each day based on the burned calories and if that has been a fairly accurate way to lose weight......meaning, if you eat at a 1,000 calorie deficit each day based on your calorie burn, are you really losing 2 pounds each week?

TIA!

There are so many things that go into losing weight... diet, exercise, stress levels and so on. If you eat too little, you can have the opposite effect that you're looking for or you can get the effect you're looking for. All depends on the person.
Your body is like a car though, it can't run without fuel. And it runs best with the proper fuel.

On days that I burn more, I do typically eat more, staying within the 1,000 calorie deficit and not dropping below 1,200 calories consumed. It's not unusual for me to have a10 3,000 + calorie burn day, and on those days I will eat up to 1,800 calories (2,000 + is just more than I can handle!).

I set my goal for 2 lbs/week. I have lost 11 lbs in the 6 weeks I have been using my Bodybugg, so it's been pretty accurate (91.67% accurate). But don't get frustrated if you don't meet a weekly goal. All kinds of things can cause weight fluctuations. It's all about the downward TREND!

Best of luck. I LOVE my Bodybugg. I love seeing the immediate number results of running up the stairs, working out, etc.!
