Mine do the same thing! I always check my laces as well.

Could it be the arch in them?

Mine do if I keep my feet in the same spot constantly. I don't I move around. I would say that your shoes are pressing on a nerve because of the pressure you are putting down through your feet. Just guessing as I had wondered the same thing when it happened to me.

You may want to try switching up your footing postions and pay attention to your form and how you are working your legs.

Very common. It has something to do with circulation and not moving your feet. You get used to it after a while.
  • Mine do as well. It's annoying as heck.

I had that with my Mom's Gazelle. It basically put my feet to sleep.... But I have some bounce on the elliptical and my feet are fine.

Its typically more of a circulation problem than a shoe problem. Sometimes when on the elliptical more than 30 minutes the bottoms of my feet start to feel numb or ache, but as soon as I step off the machine its back to normal. Try to reposition your feet on the foot board every so often to keep circulation flowing. I will often switch up my stance throughout the elliptical workout - this keeps the numbness away and works different muscles in my legs.

I just googled "why do my feet feel numb on the elliptical" and got a whole bunch of articles....

This one seemed the most informative to me:

Thanks for that-seems to be better to do a shorter workout twice rather than a long one.
