Fall favorites: Homemade Extra Lean Turkey Chili

I am totally in FALL mode! Here is one of my favorite low fat high fiber and protein recipe for Chili

Ingrediants:

20 oz Jennie-O Extra lean ground Turkey
1 TBSP Minced Garlic
2 cups Bell pepper (any color)
2 small onions chopped
3 14.5oz cans Hunts diced tomato
3 TBSP of tomato paste
1 15oz can condensed Campbells tomato soup
4 oz black beans
2 15.5oz can of light red fat free kidney beans
8-10 TBSP chili powder (to your own taste)
1 tsp ground cumin
2 whole bay leaves
1 TBSP garlic powder
2 14.5oz Swansons fat free 33% less sodium chicken broth

Brown turkey in pan with minced garlic then add everything into crockpot, cook on low for approx 5-6hrs or on high for approx 3hrs
Makes 16 cups
Nutrition (per cup) 156calories, 24g Carbs, 1g fat, 14g protein, 6g fiber, 725g sodium

  • I actually might skip the second can of chicken broth or only do half to make it a bit thicker :)
