What help really means...

I am a clinical social worker, a helping professional. When people post here, in the "HELP" section, I'll bet they are looking for assistance. Patient and understanding- HELP. Some of these people on MFP are loco coco. Why do people get mad when people ask questions about things like eating back exercise calories? DAMN! If it bothers you, don't reply. If you were never supposed to ask the same question, the webmaster could block posts containing the phrase.
You can see the thread topic... so much easier not to click on it. I think people just like being pricks online because they don't have the balls to do it in person. I know I FINALLY reached out on the forums for support, not this "MFP guru" BS. I don't know Banks and the other lady that posted the info here, but they did not identify themselves as certified anything. If you want to point people to their posts, great. If you want to make a harsh statement about how this topic is asked over and over again, GET A LIFE.
I just felt like speaking up for the people who haven't, and speaking to those* who are apparently here to harass rather than help. And guess what? If you don't like what I am posting, you really don't have to reply. DING DING DING- what a novel idea!

Hehehe *like*. The know-it-all bull**** gets old. I do see repetetive questions here but they annoy me much less than the collective "SIGHHHHHH, how dare this bafoon dare to ask such a thing, if they knew anything about anything they'd already have the answers just like us... because we are above you and we weren't ever new at this!" attitude.0

I totally agree!!! I've been offended quite a few times reading OTHER people's post. The reality is, that question WILL be asked everyday, if you are new to the site, you dont know how to navigate it yet, and dont really have the time to "search". Thank you for saying what needed to be said0

AMEN to all of the above!0

LIKE! I am seeing more and more negative behavior on here and it really turns me off to the forums part of MFP.0 -
I've gotta agree on this totally. The fact is the search function is great but only works so well. If you don't put your question in with just the right phrasing you may not get the results you need. Additionally, the results that do come back can be tough to sift through to find the exact answer you need. In the end we were all there once and needed answers to our questions. Yes for those who have been here for a while I'm sure answering the same questions over and over gets old, but if it's that much of a hassel then let someone else take on that role for a while. It's not like there's anyone here who's the sole expert on any of the topics of discussion. There are hundreds of great people with a wealth of experience and information who can effectively answer these questions. Just have fun and enjoy being here on the Message Boards, that's what they're all about isn' it?0

I've started seeing negative stuff on the forums and it really just puts a bad taste in my mouth. If you wanna be rude and troll for mean things to say then get on your Facebook. This is supposed to be a positive place!0

The only thread I see going up 3 or 4 times day is the old exercise calories one. I think this would be resolved by putting it as a sticky topic at the top of the forum - people who are unsure could just add their queries there, and it wouldn't need to be repeated every single day.
But in the absence of that, well, of course no-one forces anyone to reply to a thread they find dull. I've simply stopped reading that particular topic - I've added my comments to a few, and now I don't really feel the urge to repeat myself again.0 -
I totally agree with you.0
