Can someone tell me how many calories are burned by breastfeeding??

    Most people say between 300-500 cals/day but I've heard upwards of 1000...which I don't believe personally. In the beginning, I estimaed 500/day, but since baby girl is almost 9months now, I estimate about 250. HTH!:flowerforyou:

    The nutritional requirements for a woman lactating/breast feeding is an additional 500 kcal/day.
