I noticed some people talking about doing these 12 week challenges or other things. I'm wondering what these are and where I can find them. I work well with a set goal and I like the challenge ideas!

There are many different types of challenges you can do. Right now through my bootcamp we are doing a 12 week challenge that includes:
1. Weekly weigh in
2. Nutritional talk
3. Successes and Stuggles (if brave enough to speak in front of group)
4. Setting up mini/weekly challenges
5. Beggining, mid way and end measurements.
In doing these challenges, you are more likely to hold yourself accountable. Just get a group of friends involved and if you can do it in person it can be more meaningful but if not, doing it through MFP is the next best thing (but it's on a honesty system).
