edited October 2 in Fitness and Exercise
I'm doing the C25K in preparation for running my first 5k at the end of October and I'm trying to do something on the off days that I'm not doing that running/walking. I'd like to work on Yoga (flexibility/stretching) or strengthening my abs/arms/etc. I'm not wanting to spend a lot of money so I'm asking for suggestions on what I could buy.

Thanks in advance!

Netflix - the cheapest one per month has a fitness channel or Check Ross DVD section - they usually have pretty good ones. I really like Jillian Michaels DVDs and Beachbody ones.

Right now I don't have internet so I can't do Netflix until then.

if netflix has Turbo Jam, try that out, if not you can get just the 5 Workouts DVD Set here at amazon for as low as $11 Used and $17 New: http://www.amazon.com/Turbo-Jam-Beachbody-Rockin-Workouts/dp/B000EZHWVQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1315415876&sr=8-1

It's a fabulous fun workout video, it comes with 2 extra videos, so total of 7. It has Turbo Jam 20 minuted Quick Cardio Exercise, 45min Turbo Jam Cardio Party, 35 minuted Turbo Sculpt (weight training, very important to mix it up with this), also has Turbo Jam 20 min workout, and couple more fun video between 20-45 minutes. It's kickass, I have been doing for almost 2 weeks daily and I can already see definition in my muscles, this exercises tones and strengthens your muscles, you won't become bulky at all. The video are perfect, you will be exhausted when you're done but she paces it so well that it doesn't feel like workout but more like dance party.

Also Billy Blanks Tae Bo videos are great, his workouts can be tough at times, but very good :D I am sure you can find it on amazon for cheap, or even Good Will sometime has it for like $3-5 bucks.

    Good luck and have fun!

Would ppl be interested in doing a "dvd exchange"? I've wondered about this. Not sure how cost effective it would be, but dvd's don't weigh a lot so postage couldn't be that much, could it? Say I have 30 day shred and someone else has tae bo and you just do a swap? Then swap back when finished.
