Are you inline with what MFP predicts for your weight loss?

I have been a member (off and on) for about 6 months or so- and have had success with losing weight, however, have never stuck with it long enough to get to the real numbers I want.
Here's my question. When you fill in your diary and close it out for the day, MFP predicts how long it will take you to get to a certain number, based on what you did that day.
I have never really lost weight the way the experts "say I should" based on calorie mathematics- My weight loss is always much slower- but I was curious if that is just me, or if others find it the same. Are you on schedule with what they say for you?

Use it as a guide. Some people get bigger losses than the average, some smaller. Use the guide to tweak what you're doing until you find your own sweet spot.0

Yup. I've definitely stuck with it everyday and I'm on track with what MFP predicts. Sometimes I was WAY behind and sometimes WAY ahead, but currently, right on track.0

I am far from that, I even gained a pound, but I know it's muscle. I have been working out a lot more than usual.0

Honestly I've ignored those predictions because they seem to vary wildly from day to day. As long as I'm meeting my goal of losing at least 1 pound a week, I'm happy.0

I've been writing down my "in five weeks" weight everyday for the past few weeks and noticed that I tend to be almost right in line with it. Sometimes, I'm ahead, however I think it's because I have a lot of weight to lose. I think it will be different once I get closer to my goal weight.0

Definitely smaller. I set my goals to "lose 2 lbs per week". I usually fall right in line in regards to calorie consumption, but I lose closer to 1/2 to 1 lb per week instead of 2 lbs.0

I lost 26 lbs in about 10 weeks (2.6 pounds per week) with a daily calorie goal set for 2lbs loss per week. I usually ate pretty close to my calorie goal but almost never went over. On some heavy workout days (where my total calories were supposed to be near 3000 or more) I generally stayed well below goal. So all in all, I would say that yes my progress was very much in line with MFP's predictions.0

That's really interesting- I am usually behind what they say- I guess everyone is different- maybe muscle mass? Who knows- I will be happy with 1-2 lbs a week- for sure! Thanks everyone for your 2 cents!0

I am set to lose 1 lb/wk... the only time I don't meet it is when I'm about to get my period. Other than that I've been losing 1.5 - 2 lbs a week consistently.0
