My oh-so-bad vacation

So I took a lovely vacation with my husband, but it was so detrimental to my diet!!! Even though I worked out during my vacation, I still managed to gain nearly 8 pounds from where I left off at, which was actually 3 pounds higher than my goal! So all together, I was nearly 10-11 pounds higher than my goal weight! EEK!!!! So now it's back to kicking myself in the *kitten* over my weight!!

After having been on this site for almost a year, I see now that I should've started taking my measurements along with my weight, not just my weight, because after losing all the weight I've lost, I'm now working on my strengthning and toning.

SIGH!!!!

    It happens, you will get used to it. Remember, skinny people gain weight on vacation but they take it off when they get home. You're one of them now!
  • Went on a cruise earlier this month. Knew I would gain some. My strategy was to maintain a good workout when I could, choose activities that were actually active and not food based and then enjoy the meals with a mix of smart choices (without missing out on the special items). Overall, I gained about 6 lbs and then simply headed back to the gym, started tracking again and had those lbs off in about 1 1/2 weeks. Life doesn't stop and there is nothing wrong with enjoying good food. All in moderation. I bet you will find that those vacation lbs will drop fairly quickly once you are back in your normal routine.

    Im sure half of it is probably just bloaty sodium weight.
    I went off my diet for 3 weeks and 'gained' 8 lbs, turns out it was really only 2. :)
    After lots of water drinking and bathroom time, the truith was revealed! lol
