Hey Ladies and Gents!

I am back on myfitnesspal and REALLY need some help! I purchased a wedding dress that is on order and should be in mid October! My wedding is December 3rd, and I am so nervous that I am not going to fit into my dress! I lost 65 pounds a year ago, and somehow stopped dieting. I have had so much going on in my life and have been stress eating. I've gained 20 of those 65 pounds back and I am begging for help. I need to get motivated to lose this weight! I loved it when I was dieting (well more so eating healthy) and working out. I felt so good about myself. It was my ONLY control! Now I've lost control. Please help me from becoming those Bridezillas you see on tv. They are so trashy, to say the least. I want to be the laid back bride that says, I've got this! Your words of encouragement, wisdom, dieting goals, work out goals, and lectures are appreciated! :)

it sounds like you have the motivation to get back on the wagon....you can do this!! And the last few months leading up to the wedding can be the most stressful, you will be able to handle it all much better if you are feeling good about yourself. You will also have more evergy to deal with it all if you are giving your body the right kind of fuel. Good luck to you!! and if it makes you feel any better, my SIL is having a big wedding in a week (they were originally married last winter on the beach) but she is now going full out wedding...and she's 4 months pregnant...no fitting in the dress for her:)

You can do it!! I ordered my dress a size smaller back in January for my September wedding... and it has been too small right up until this past week, it fits now! My wedding is in 2 weeks. the stress was not worth it for me, I wish I had stuck with the larger size, and just had it taken in.

20 lbs in 30 months is totally doable!! You just have to have the right mindset. 90% of the battle is mental!!

When I got married I ordered a dress a size to small to motivate me to lose some weight. Your motivation should be I need to get back into this or I'll be walking down that aisle ne-ked!!
But really this is your wedding!! Do you really want to look at pictures 5,10, 20 years from now and not be able to say that everything went as planned. You lost the weight before. Go out there and do it again!! I know its stressful, but you can do it! Do it for you, for your future hubby, and for that honeymoon!!!
  • you poor thing! I was stressing about my weight leading up to my wedding on Aug 25th, and then I realized that I was making myself (and my husband) miserable. Breathe deep, and focus on that gorgeous man that loves you so much no matter what you look like! I've heard great things about 30 day Shred, so maybe try it out and see if it helps you feel more in control? My friend and I are going to do it (I think we'll both have the DVD by Monday), so if you want to join us online feel free to friend me! My friend is getting married next year and has about 50lbs to lose. I want to wear a bikini for my belated honeymoon in January with about 35 lbs to lose. So, you're in good company! You're going to be a beautiful bride and you will most definitely find the willpower to get control of your dieting and exercise!
