retraining my diet after fasting

So I fasted for Ramadan for 30 days. I was only allowed to eat between about 8 pm and 4 am. I ate once at 8 pm and then had something light at 4 am so I'm used to fewer, bigger meals. Recently I've been eating a massive breakfast (because my body's saying feed me!) and then I'm not hungry for lunch. I can't concentrate if I don't eat enough for breakfast and my stomach feels really empty so I eat a light lunch late in the day and then don't even have an appetite for dinner so I skip it. I've been staying within my calories so that's not a problem. This may be a silly question but how would you retrain your body to want to eat in smaller chunks throughout the day? Do you think it's a mental thing?

i think i would decide on a routine (this is just an example, but let's say breakfast at 7am, lunch at noon, and dinner at 5pm -- with snacks between each meal) and then just FORCE myself to eat at these times. eventually your body will come to expect food at about these times, and get hungry for it. you don't have to eat huge amounts if you're not hungry, but even a banana at snack time or a piece of toast for lunch, etc, will get your body used to eating on a normal routine again :o)

This, and then gradually lower the amount you're eating for breakfast and move those calories to other meals and snacks.

most important thing is staying within your calorie goal, you don't have to eat multiple times a day if you don't feel like it
