HI, I joined in August looking for something new, and something that would motivate me to lose the weight i have gained in the last 7 months or so.
In reading alot of the post and message boards, i thought i had this down right, but now im not even sure im doing things correctly as i have been sitting at a weight loss of 7 lbs for almost 3 weeks. That was just by drinking more water and letting go of my bad eating habits. In the last week i have started working out ALOT.... Zumba, Wii FIt, and now p90x, but i have not lost any more weight. I don't understand the calorie intake, or the additional calories after i have logged in my excercise.
Could someone please explain to me what i need to be doing to get results ...
Thank you,
Your fitness pal,

if you just started working out this week, you are probably gaining muscle. p90x will do that at first...give it at least another week or 2 and you will see the weight start to come off. Make sure you are eating enough calories, otherwise your body will think it needs to hold onto everything. I found (thanks to many of the forums here) that just dieting, your body will lose muscle before fat, so if you are working out now, it's gaining that back. When you set up your profile, it should have given you a daily goal, that is pretty accurate. I suggest you eat your exercise calories too, your body needs that.
Keep working at it, you will see results! I was the same way, just eating right didn't work, and when I started the Insanity, I seemed to hold on for a few days, and now it is shedding off and my body is changing shape. Read the forums here, they are very helpful.
I hope that helped a little .... keep it up! you are in the right place!0 -
Thank you so much for that information! I will definitely keep up the workouts, and not lose hope... This is the first FULL week that i work out, before this week, i was just doing basic things such as chasing around my 6 and 3 yr old boys.. house chores etc.. the occasional day or two of zumba.
and if i understand correctly, my daily goal is 1200 calories, and if i excercise, i have to eat the additional calories as well?
what 's the difference between the fitness goal and the nutrional goals?0
